It's a good wrap. I had 3 of the regular ones, but so happy to see they got the larger one for my big spicy void to fit in more comfortably while the vet does her exam and I do meds at home. Unfortunately, my cat went into chf and we had to say goodbye. But I know for a fact that these wraps gave us 2 extra years we wouldn't have had otherwise because of his temperament for taking his meds. It saved our relationship and his quality of life was great right to the end. It is well constructed, he considered it comfortable enough to willingly get in after some patient training, washable, and easy to use. Very expensive, but worth every dollar. I tell everyone I know that has a spicy kitty about these wraps and very happy they have more than one size now. Thank you for a great product.
I bought it originally because I thought I would have to restrain my CKD kitty while giving fluids. He's become accustomed to the fluids without it, but doesn't like his other meds. It quiets him and keeps him from injuring me or running away.
We have a feisty big boy American Longhair (16lbs so we sized up). We just adopted him and he swiped my face when we tried to cut his nails, and I looked like Scarface. We needed a solution so I'm so glad I found CalmCozyCat! We ordered the large and it seems well built with nice felt and sturdy velcro. We used for both our cats (one is 12lbs tuxedo and he was still fine in the large) and nail trimming was so much easier! He hissed a little bit but seemed to calm down especially after swaddling. Without the wrap , would not be able to give our strongwilled Aby , the subq fluids needed for treatment of his kidney disease . It is still a struggle , but more managable .
My cat is a hefty 17 pounds and resists getting her nails trimmed with everything she has- thrashing, clawing , biting. We could not find a technique for towel or blanket wrapping that would hold her. Restraining her was very stressful for the both us.
I was so happy and shocked when the Calm Cozy Cat Wrap worked the first time. I purchase the size Large. I followed the directions and steps exactly as shown. It was actually very easy. She wasn't happy, but only growled a bit. Once she was secured, all I had to do was coax her paw out of the armhole. I've done this 3 times so far and the whole process takes less than 2 minutes.
The wrap is very well made. The fabric is thick and the velcro is very strong. The design makes it easy to trim one paw at a time without having to hold down your pet and the velcro collar protects you from biting.
I wish I had this years ago!
